The Wait is Over!
Current Status: Monday 9/25/2000Caroline is here! At about 3am, Michelle started feeling the onset of labor. She walked and waited to see if the contractions would continue. They did, and at about 4:30am, she woke me up (Dave). Together we got ready and made arrangements for our neighbor Dave to watch Michael until Michelle's folks could come to our house. We left for the hospital at 6am and were checked in and in her room by 6:50am. After lots of labor, ever stronger contractions, an unfortunate series of misses on her epidural (an hours worth), more labor, another missed epidural and about 30 minutes of pushing, Caroline joined us at 12:54pm. She has lots of brownish/auburn hair, pretty blue eyes and is in excellent health. Michelle is a bit tired, but doing well also. Check out Caroline's web page for additional pictures as they become available. Click for a larger picture.
Here is the 4Goodmans.com family at the hospital. We're very happy Caroline joined us and is doing so well. Michael is especially happy to be a big brother. He has been great with Caroline and really likes to help.

We went to the swimming pool today and she floated around for about an hour. The baby tends to like this and really gets active. We're going to the doctor tomorrow, so we'll see where we go from here. Saturday 9/23/2000Mommy did lots of walking today, but only ended up with swollen feet. We're still hoping for this weekend. Looking into all labor-inducing wives tales and trying them one by one. Already tried:
